Langtang Gosainkunda Lake & Helambu trek is one of the most popular and medium range treks in Nepal with many attractions: scenic grandeur, glimpse of Sherpa & Tamang life, rhododendron forest, lakes, glaciers & snow mountains. The trek begins from Dhunche and the trail leads up to Kyanchin Gompa and passes the sacred lake, Gosainkunda (4602m.). Exploring colorful Helambu region with delightful Sherpa villages, the trek ends in Kathmandu. An easy trek to Helambu (8 days), a stunningly picturesque region affords superb panoramic views of Himalayas stretching from the Annapurnas to Mt. Everest and is really an ideal destination for short trek.
